Tour description
Discover the origins of Italian fashion with a special tour in the heart of historical center.
The tour starts from the Ferragamo Museum, located in the thirteen century Palazzo Spini Ferroni and opened to the public in 1995 by the Ferragamo family to illustrate Ferragamo's artistic qualities and the important role he played in the history of shoe design and international fashion.
The visit continues through Via Tornabuoni, the street of fashion, before reaching the Gucci Museum. This museum was recently inaugurated inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia. It showcases some of Gucci’s most famous ensembles and displays the brand journey from the start to the present. In addition to a series of contemporary art installations, it contains a library, a cafeteria, a small boutique and the new Gucci Osteria by Massimo Bottura, three-Michelin-star chef.
